At Spirit of the Sea, our passion is to protect and conserve the marine environment, which is why we offer sustainable excursions in Gran Canaria, as well as unique and responsible whale watching experiences. We are aware of the importance of caring for the marine environment in Gran Canaria and the urgent need to protect it. The island has a unique marine ecosystem that is home to a great diversity of species, from dolphins and whales to turtles and seabirds, and it is our responsibility to preserve it for future generations.

Commitment to the marine environment

Unfortunately, every day we see the harmful consequences that human activity has on the marine environment. Drift nets, plastic bags, rings that bind cans together and a large amount of marine rubbish become death traps for the fauna.

At Spirit of the Sea we not only offer the experience of enjoying sustainable excursions in Gran Canaria, we also actively collaborate in the conservation of these marine species. We rescue the trapped animals and transfer them to the Wildlife Recovery Centre, where they will receive the necessary care until they can return to their natural habitat.
